Lets start at the very begining......

...because thats a very good place to start! I have a place for the 2013 London Marathon. So lets take stock, the last time I ran a half marathon I ended up in hospital, I am three and a half stone heavier than I was then and I only had a baby eight weeks ago. HOWEVER, I have always wanted to run a marathon and I feel that if I dont do it soon I never will. As I am on maternity leave I have the time to train and I also have the motivation.

Lets discuss my motivation. One of my closest friends lost something so precious it defies words. She lost her son. His name was Quinn and he was born too soon, on 18th April 2012. She and her wonderful husband are trapped in a world that I cannot even bare to think about and I have to feel like I am doing something. It seems so cruel that my pregnancies all had happy endings yet some couples face pain and loss so heartbreaking. So I am running to raise money for Tommy's, a charity that supports women through difficult pregnancies and also helps fund research to ensure that every pregnancy has a happy ending.

So now to the training. I have three stone of baby weight to loose and I have been to the gym four times since Emily was born on 29th February 2012. I am about to go to the gym now. I havent run outside yet, I'm not ready. I have started the blog so I can talk about my training, my funraising and anything else that pops into my head. Any tips or support is very welcome and of course, please feel free to sponsor me to help raise money in memory of Quinn and all those other babies who for one reason or another do not go home.
